On March 4, 1999, Turkey initiated an anti-dumping investigation on synthetic polyester staple fiber (polyester staple fiber) originating from Indonesia and South Korea.

On March 13, 2000, Turkey made the affirmative final ruling on the case and started to impose anti-dumping duties, with the duty rates ranging from 6.2% to 37.4% for Indonesia and 11.9% to 24.6% for Korea. on September 8, 2006, Turkey made the first sunset review final ruling on the case and extended the anti-dumping duty period, with the duty rates adjusted to 6.2% to 12% for Indonesia and 10% for Korea (see Announcement No. 2006/26).

On May 16, 2012, Turkey made the final ruling on the second sunset review of the case and extended the anti-dumping duty period, with the duty rate of Indonesia remaining unchanged at 6.2%-12% and the duty rate of Korea being adjusted to 6.2% (see Announcement No. 2012/11).

On April 20, 2018, Turkey made the final ruling on the case for the third sunset review and extended the anti-dumping duty period, and the duty rate remained unchanged at 6.2%-12% for Indonesia and 6.2% for Korea (see Announcement No. 2018/13).

On July 8, 2006, Turkey initiated an anti-dumping investigation on synthetic polyester staple fiber originating from China and Saudi Arabia.

On September 1, 2007, Turkey made an affirmative final ruling on the case and started to impose anti-dumping duties at the rate of USD 0.08/kg for China and USD 0.11/kg for Saudi Arabia (see Notice No. 2007/13).

On April 18, 2009, Turkey made the final ruling of the interim review of the case and adjusted the anti-dumping duties on the Chinese products involved in the case to USD 0.21/kg (see Announcement No. 2009/9).

On October 20, 2018, Turkey made the second final ruling of sunset review on the case and continued to impose anti-dumping duty of USD 0.21/kg on China's synthetic polyester staple fiber (see Announcement No. 2018/36), which is valid for 5 years.

On September 8, 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Notice No. 2021/44, deciding to suspend the anti-dumping duties on polyester staple fiber originating from China, Indonesia, and Korea, among other countries/regions, in view of the imminent implementation of safeguard measures on imported polyester staple fiber, with the measures effective from September 23, 2021, and valid for the same period as the safeguard measures on polyester staple fiber.
